On the occasion of World Sight Day, the OMIQ Ophthalmological Institute performs free ophthalmological check-ups on October 13. In this sense, they will be held at the General University Hospital of Catalonia HUGC and at the Sacred Heart of Barcelona HUSC. Our specialists will take the ocular tension and measure the visual acuity.
The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and the World Health Organization (WHO) focus attention on the problem of visual impairment. This year’s hashtag to celebrate this international day is #LoveYourEyes.
The objective of World Sight Day is to make people aware of the different types of visual conditions, their treatments and how almost all of them are preventable or curable, thus preventing the patient from completely losing the ability to see.
About the OMIQ Ophthalmological Institute
OMIQ was born from the association of professionals with more than 25 years of experience in the field of ophthalmology.
Thus, it is projected with a very specific objective: to be a reference centre in ophthalmology. Our will is to accompany patients throughout the process.
Since 2002, a medical team made up of more than 30 professionals has been working to offer a comprehensive eye health service to its patients. Starting with the diagnosis, going through the most appropriate treatments that include surgery as a solution to many ophthalmological problems. And ending with monitoring until the best resolution is achieved in each case.
At Omiq we respond to all ophthalmological specialties to offer comprehensive coverage. Our specialists apply the most advanced technology and have the safest facilities within hospital environments.
