Dr. Deborah Broitman Stern graduated in Medicine from the Central University of Venezuela in 1992. She was awarded the “Antonio José de Sucre” Award for Academic Excellence by the Venezuelan government. She obtained the specialty of Ophthalmology at the Central University of Venezuela in 1997. She Special Research Work on “Refractive Ametropias. Effects on the Quality of Life After Keratomileusis in situ with Excimer Laser” with Honorable Mention.
She has worked for more than 20 years in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases and conditions of the eye. Since 1998, she has held the positions of Medical Director and Teacher of the Metropolitan Refractive Laser Centre in Venezuela.
From 2000 to 2012, she taught courses as an Instructor and Coordinator in the Ophthalmology Basic Sciences Courses at both the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Caracas and the Venezuelan Society of Ophthalmology.
She is currently part of our Ophthalmology Unit at OMIQ HUGC Y HUSC in Barcelona.
