Dr. Laura Sararols graduated in medicine and surgery from the Central University of Barcelona Faculty of Medicine in 1993, she was an intern in Ophthalmology and began her professional life hand in hand with the best retinal surgeons in the Retina unit in Vall d’Hebron Hospital of Barcelona from 1994 to 2007.
Since 2007 she has been the head of the Retina unit at the General Hospital of Granollers and Head of the OMIQ General University Hospital of Catalonia service. She is the Principal Investigator of multiple multicentre studies in Retinal diseases especially exudative AMD therapies, geographic atrophy and Diabetic Macular Edema developing the most advanced and innovative therapies.
