Dr. Cecilia Salinas is an ophthalmologist with over 25 years of professional experience dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. She is currently part of the medical team at the Institut Oftalmològic OMIQ Medic i Quirúrgic, where she contributes her expertise in the study and management of retinal pathologies and advanced ophthalmic diagnostic techniques.MD. Cecilia Salinas es especialista en Oftalmología con una amplia trayectoria profesional de más de 25 años dedicada al diagnóstico y tratamiento de las enfermedades oculares. Actualmente forma parte del equipo médico de Institut Oftalmològic OMIQ Medic i Quirúrgic, donde aporta su experiencia en el estudio y manejo de patologías retinianas y en técnicas avanzadas de diagnóstico oftalmológico.
She specializes in high-precision complementary tests, such as ocular ultrasound (UBM) and ocular electrophysiology, essential tools for evaluating various diseases of the retina and other structures of the eye.
A graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), she later obtained her ophthalmology residency at the Central Hospital of Mendoza. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong clinical practice, combining it with teaching and research.
She has participated as a professor in postgraduate training programs and master’s programs specializing in retina, vitreous, and anterior segment, in addition to collaborating in the training of professionals in ocular photography. Her commitment to research is reflected in her participation in numerous scientific projects, as well as in the publication of specialized articles and the presentation of papers at national and international conferences.
Dr. Salinas is a member of the Spanish Society of Retina and Vitreous (SERV) and EUROLAM (International Association of Retinal Specialists from Europe and Latin America), organizations that bring together leading specialists in the field of retina.
